Most queries about UNIVOX PA equipment — ordering, warranty, service, customisation and dealer partnerships — are answered below. Anything we have missed, write to us directly.
We supply through an authorised dealer network across India. For most enquiries, the simplest route is to email sales@harmanelectronics.com with the model number, the quantity, and your location — we will direct you to the nearest authorised dealer who carries the product and can quote you locally.
For large institutional orders, government tenders, or installations requiring custom configuration, we work with you directly.
For single units and small orders, we route enquiries through our authorised dealers — they hold stock, can demonstrate equipment, and provide on-the-ground service.
We supply directly for bulk orders (typically 10+ units), institutional and government contracts, custom installations, and exports.
Pricing is shared on enquiry. Dealer-level pricing differs from institutional and bulk pricing, and from export pricing. Write to us with your application and quantity, and we will share an appropriate quote.
For dealer orders, standard trade terms apply (NEFT / RTGS, with credit terms negotiable for established accounts). For institutional, government, and tender supply, we work with the relevant procurement procedures including advance, milestone, and bank-guarantee terms.
Off-the-shelf models in standard configuration: usually shipped within 7–14 working days from our New Delhi works. Custom configurations, large quantities (50+ units), or bespoke fitments: 4–8 weeks depending on the order. Confirmation against your specific PO will be given in writing.
Standard manufacturer's warranty is twelve months from the date of dispatch for all UNIVOX amplifiers, mixers, conference systems and tape decks, covering manufacturing defects. Speakers, microphones and accessories carry six-month coverage. Warranty service is carried out through our authorised dealer network.
Warranty does not cover damage from incorrect voltage, water ingress, or unauthorised modification.
Yes. Out-of-warranty service is available through authorised dealers in Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and several other cities. We continue to service equipment that left our works decades ago — components are designed to be repairable, not disposable.
For installations far from a dealer city, we can also arrange courier-based service from the factory.
Yes — replacement diaphragms, driver units, transformers and most board-level components are kept in production specifically to service the installed base. Even amplifier models discontinued from the catalogue have spares stocked. Write with the model number and the year of purchase (if known) and we will confirm availability.
For large installations — schools, conference centres, religious venues, government facilities — your authorised dealer arranges site visits. For complex centralised sound systems, we can deploy a factory technician on a chargeable basis.
Yes. We routinely build custom configurations for specific venues — non-standard power outputs, additional input channels, bespoke front-panel layouts, custom rack assemblies, specific impedance combinations. Tell us the venue, the audience size, the source equipment, and the existing speaker infrastructure, and we will spec the right unit.
The simplest rule: estimate the total speaker load (sum of wattage of all speakers on the line), and pick an amplifier rated at 1.5× that figure to allow headroom. For a classroom of 200 sq m with four 20W ceiling speakers, an 80W amplifier is the minimum, a 125W amplifier is the recommended figure.
For anything more complex — multi-zone, large halls, outdoor spaces — write to us with the room dimensions and we will recommend a configuration.
Most do. Our standard PA amplifiers run on AC mains and 12V or 24V DC battery supply, allowing operation during power cuts via an inverter or directly off a 12V SMF battery. The DC operation is a designed feature, not an afterthought — the internal regulation is built for it.
A few high-power models (above 500W) are AC-only by design due to current draw. The product page lists the operation mode for each model.
Speakers are raw drivers — the bare cone-and-magnet transducers used by installers building custom cabinets. Speaker Systems are factory-built enclosures with the driver mounted and tuned. Horns & Driver Units are compression-driver-based products for outdoor PA where range and weatherproofing matter more than fidelity.
If you are building a custom cabinet, you want a Speaker. If you want to install a ready unit, you want a Speaker System. If you are doing outdoor announcements, you want a Horn.
Our principal dealer cities are Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, with additional dealers across other major Indian cities. For the dealer nearest to your location, write to us with your city and pincode.
We periodically appoint new dealers in cities where coverage can be improved. The process involves an initial discussion of your existing trade in PA / audio equipment, a site visit by us, and a structured onboarding with training on the UNIVOX product line. Write to sales@harmanelectronics.com with your firm's profile to begin.
Yes — we have been a long-standing supplier to public institutions including railways, universities, schools, courts and municipal bodies. We can provide manufacturer's authorisations, technical compliance certificates, and tender documentation as required.
We supply to several markets in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Voltage and certification requirements differ by country — write to us with the destination market and the model numbers, and we will confirm what we can supply and on what terms.
